A Happy 4th and a BEAUTIFUL temple open house!

I know these are a little delayed but here are the pictures from Addy's first Fourth of July. I thought that the fireworks would scare her but they didn't at all. She loved them! We did fireworks with Hunter and Chris which was a lot of fun.

Bunny ears!

Me and the munchkin

Trying to take our picture! I love her expression!

Wiped out from the firework fun!

Today Addy and I went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. The temple is absolutely gorgeous! For the most part Addy did really well through the tour. It gave me the chills though because in the celestial room Addy was talking her normal blubbering then all of a sudden it started to sound like she was saying "hi! hi! hi!" it was so crazy! It gave me the instant chills! But then after we left that room and was walking around, she started scrunching her face and blowing spit bubbles! She is so cute and has such a huge personality already! I love her so much!

We got moved into our new apartment. They are really nice considering the price and I like it, but I HATE apartment living... especially when I am not on the top floor! I Have very noisy neighbors. And the family below me sounds like they are having a party every night. Oh well - I only signed a 6 month lease so if it doesn't get better I can look for something else!

Here are the pictures from the open house. The sun was so bright it was hard to get Addy to open her eyes for a good picture. But they turned out cute still!

Addy's First Haircut & Ride on the Swings

I know it has been FOREVER since I have blogged. Things have been absolutely crazy for me. I am finally getting my own place this next week so I have been all over the place looking for a decent apartment at a reasonable price and also working so many hours. Waitressing is a lot of work and very tiring. Well here are pictures of her first haircut. I tried to do it at first, but ended up cutting the bangs to short and they were very crooked so Grandma had to step in and help out. She prepped the hair for the cut too. Addy was not a very good customer - she was trying to turn her head and eat the scissors the entire time. But here are the pictures!!! Once I get the time I will post pictures of Addy's first fourth of July. She loved the fireworks!

First Swing Ride. She was not sure of it at first but then ended up loving it!!!

Sorry I know that was a long post with a lot of pictures!!!!

Wow I need to start blogging more! I thought I could keep up on it but it is harder then I though! Well Addy is now rolling like crazy! She has been driving me nuts today because she will be on her back then roll to her stomach. She will be happy for a few minutes but then she will start SCREAMING because she can't figure out how to get back to her back! And she keeps doing it over and over again!! It is cute but so frustrating because I was trying to clean up! But I love the little princess to death!!!! She has been so grabby when it comes to eating. She always wants to eat whatever I am. Lately I have been letting her try my food a little. Here is a video of her trying my breadstick at the olive garden..... (ignore my ugly hair... I just got out of work)

and now here is a video of her trying to attack the bag of chips during the Father's day dinner!

We gave her her first haircut this weekend too so I will post pictures of that exciting thing tomorrow sometime. I better get to doing some homework, I have been procrastinating my assignment. :)

Addy finally rolled over!!!

Saturday Addy finally decided to roll over onto her tummy!! For so long she was stuck on her side and could not figure out how to go the rest of the way. Well Saturday after I came back from running, I put Addy on the bed thinking that just in case it did happen she would have plenty of room and wouldn't fall off if by some chance she decided to roll. Well I quickly ran upstairs to grab an apple and I was talking to my mom on the phone. When I came back down I looked on the bed and said "Oh my gosh! Where is my baby!? I was the only one home! Then I heard some laughing and cooing and I look down and she had rolled and fell in between the mattress and the footboard of the bed and was just hanging out wedged in between there!!! I felt so bad at first but since she was laughing I knew she was alright and I started to laugh too. I wish I would have taken a picture of it becuase it was SO funny looking.

Well I put her back on the bed to see if she would roll again and she did! It was so exciting. Then I put her on the floor and she was just going to town rolling over. My baby is getting SO big! Here is a video of her rolling over.

So all day Saturday she was going to town rolling over but now on Sunday and so far this morning she has gotten lazy again and won't roll over! :( oh well - luckily I was able to record her rolling over a few times both on my lame camera phone and the camcorder.

Here is another video of her laying on the bed doing some pretty dramatic screams! It was so funny because she would lay there and she would breath really heavy like "HEH HEH HEH" and then just scream at the top of her lungs! The funny part is that she would extend her arms and hands so hard that it looked like she was telling a dramatic story! Her personality is starting to come out! I LOVE it!

Work has been going pretty well for me. The weekends I get way better tips than the weekdays so I prefer to work then, I just wish the hours weren't so late. I hate not being able to put my baby to bed!!! And I don't like her with a babysitter so much - but I just have to remember this is only temporary. It will get better soon!!

Last night Addy wasn't feeling so well and wouldn't sleep unless I was either holding her or laying next to her so I let her sleep with me and then this morning instead of waking up to her cries like normal, I woke up to her trying to shove her pacifier into my mouth! It is so funny she tries to share that thing with everyone. The best part is though if I take it and I suck on it for a minute - she reaches over and will grab it out of my mouth and put it back in hers. I love it - it is so funny.

Addy's feedings

Well I have been trying to feed Addy some rice cereal the past couple of days and she does not like it!!! I think I need to be a little more consistent with it so that she will get more used to it. I love feeding it to her though! I think it is absolutely hilarious! Well, I hate working. I hate being away from my little angel. Yesterday there was a couple that came in and they brought their baby with them and had her dressed in an outfit that Addy has and I had tears well up in my eyes. I hate not being able to be home with her all the time. I can't wait until I start working as a medical transcriptionist so I can be at home with her! I feel like that is the most important gift a mother can give her children is to be at home with them and not have them raised by strangers or a daycare.

On that same note - I have a little rant about people who decide to have children and then can not give up their own selfish wants to provide a better life for their children. When I think of this I think of not only famous people like Jon & Kate, the Octo-Mom (CPS should take her kids away) but I also know people personally that won't take full responsibility for this wonderful thing they brought into this world and it just breaks my heart. It is so hard to get a drivers liscense these days but yet any idiot can take a child home. Some day when I have my own world - no one will be able to reproduce until they have taken some extensive courses, training and a test. Once those are completed then they can reproduce and if they screw up the first child they can't have anymore! ha ha I know that will never be possible but it would solve a lot of problems!!

Well sorry about that rant for today - it has been a rough and sad day. I better head to bed - I am getting up early to go to the gym before work tomorrow that way I can spend all night with Addy. I can tell she misses having me all to herself. :( Below are some pictures from Addy's first attempt at rice cereal and then her third attempt.

Trying this out!

Well I decided I should try out this blogspot thing. I don't have time to update Addy's website so I am going to see if this will be easier and I can post pictures in a more organized way since Addy's website gallery can be a little overwhelming.

Addy is now 5 months old - she is growing SO fast! We are starting her on rice cereal - which she hates! She spits it all over the place and makes the most disgusted face when she is eating it. It is absolutely hilarious! She has not rolled over yet, she gets about 3/4 of the way there and then gives up.

Things are going well for her and I, I have another year and a half of school to get my elementary education degree and I am going to start another school to obtain my certificate for medical transcription so I can work at home and make enough to provide of me and my daughter. Well, that is all for now - I will try to keep this a little more updated then Addy's website is!!
